Black Catalysts is committed to empowering and advancing Black women in civic and political leadership. Recognizing the stark disparity between the overwhelming support Black women provide at the ballot box and their representation in elected and appointed positions, we work to close this gap by supporting, educating, and engaging Black women and the broader electorate. Through coalition-building, voter education, and community engagement, Black Catalysts seeks to address barriers such as misinformation, voter suppression, political apathy, and lack of trust in systems, while strengthening the pipeline for Black women leaders and supporting organizations with aligned missions.

Our Vision
Why Black Women and Why Now
Black women are facing unprecedented challenges—from economic setbacks, including the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs, to increasing efforts that disenfranchise and silence our voices. In this moment, building and exercising political power is essential. Political power allows Black women not only to be heard, but to show up fully in our communities as leaders, advocates, and decision-makers.
